Cast brass back plate and handle and is done in the East Lake or Cottage style. The back plate is 1 1/2" high by 4 1/4" wide and mounts on the drawer front using 3"centers or two hole measuring 3" from the center of one hole to the center of the other. Mounting hardware is included. Hint: Vintage furniture often comes with an unwanted feature. If the drawers of your piece have a musty smell, there are several things you can try. First, remove anything lining the drawers such as old paper. Next, wash it down with a mix of mild soap and water and let it dry outside on a sunny day. If the smell persists, place a bowel of baking soda in each drawer and close them up for a few days. The brass drawer handles found on Eastlake pieces tend to have softer curves and less extreme ornamentation than their Victorian counter parts of the same era.
