Cast Iron Bed Rail Fastener - BF-104

BF-104 is a cast iron bed rail fastener used to join the side rails to the head and foot boards of antique or vintage wooden beds.  The oval portion on the set is mortised into the head and foot boards of the bed while the pronged portion is set into the bed rails.  

The post anchor is 5 3/8" high by 1 3/16" wide.  The rail hook is 3 1/16" high by 1 7/8" wide.   Please note that these items are made to fit securely but are still removable.  A light tap with a hammer is enough to dislodge it once it has been used.  Slight alterations to the bed frame can be made if the bed fast is too large or the iron can be filed for a slight alteration.  

This hardware is meant to fit snugly but is removable.  Because of it's snug fit, you may need to tap it lightly with a hammer to dislodge the pieces once the bed is assembled.  

Sold only in sets of four which is enough to do one complete bed. Screws not included.
