Small Black Trunk Lid Cover T-283B

T-283 is our small, single-ply black leather trunk lock cover lid lift.  This item measures 3" high and is 3 1/4" wide.

Not sure if your trunk had a lock cover or lid lift, look above your lock or along the front edge of your trunk's lid for two or three tack heads  or holes that don't seem to have a purpose.  We recommend attaching the lock cover with either split rivets or trunk nails.

Lock covers were used to protect the locking mechanism in transit.  Unlike modern cases with a recessed lock, trunk locks usually sat on the outside of the case and we easily damaged when stacked in the cargo area.
