T-283N Small Trunk Lock Cover in Natural

T-283N is the smallest version of our trunk lock covers or lid lift.  This single ply leather lock cover is 3" high and is 3 1/4" wide.

Antique trunks were built to be what we today would consider a suitcase.  They stored a person's valuables so most trunk had a lock to secure the lid.  Lock covers were frequently used to protect the mechanism when it was being moved or stored in the cargo area.
